September 7 - Colossians 2: Believe It. Trust It. Enjoy It.
You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. (2:6-7)
Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. [It's] through what Christ has already done through for you, destroying the power of sin. (2:11-12)
When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive - right along with Christ! (2:13)
[Christ] is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us. (2:19)
"[Christ's] fullness, the exact fullness of deity, is in you, now! My Son is in you. You are in my Son. As a result, you are now in relationship with Me, an entirely new relationship that only My Son's crucifixion made possible...
"Fully seen and fully wanted by an inflexibly holy God who in Christ has given you the gift of absolute, secure righteousness. That's what you have now. Believe it. Trust it. Enjoy it. With that relationship securely fixed, with divine impulses now prompting your heart, you are free to live the new way of My Spirit. You are alive, even when you feel bored." 66 LL

Hey sweet girls!!!
I've been absent due to the day we have prayed for over a lifetime---my daughter got married a couple of weeks ago. We pulled it off for $4000---that means we had to do a lot of it ourselves. My summer was consumed with wedding plans. I calligraphied 900 wedding invitations (mainly my daughter's friends). She is a teacher and church staff so her list was long. 48 in the Wedding Party. 9 Flower Girls. 3 Ring Bearers. 17 children in all. Just precious. My daughter only fainted once on the altar. Best part of ALL---God passed through. Surreal to see your girl give holy vows under the Watchful Presence. So, I'm back to read along and enjoy both of you and your beautiful writing that comes from hearts holding fast to Him! Can't wait to read more. My love from across town, Bev
PS - I've been gone so long, they are asking me to re-type unidentifiable letters to prove that I am not a robot---ha.
Hey Bev! So glad to see your smiling face back on here. Can't wait to hear your perspective on the readings again. Glad the wedding went well. I enjoyed seeing the photos on FB. Everyone looked beautiful!
